If you’re not inviting the whole class, talk to your child and teach them not to talk about their upcoming party at school. Fingers crossed, they won’t and you can avoid hurting any feelings.

If you’re throwing a party, be clear on the invitation who is invited. If you’re happy for parents and siblings to attend, say so if not; it’s never rude to say so.
